Thanks to Erica Sherman from our sister site Sheepshead Bites, we recently learned of a local photographer named David Tan. David (often) uses a film camera rather than a digital and has quickly gained our admiration. In Erica’s words, “his images have a very cool, muted color and mystifying quality about them.”

Expect to see more impressive examples of David’s work on Bensonhurst Bean in the near future.

Thanks Joe and Erica for featuring my photos on both of your blogs. I really appreciate it.

      Some quick notes:
      - I shoot almost exclusively in film now, but I do have quite a stock of digital work on my site.
      - My photography hobby also extends to collecting cameras. I have a range of cameras and lenses that I switch between when shooting film. My atpic gallery doesn’t lend itself well to browsing by tags, but you can filter my photos for the film, cameras and lenses that I use by visiting my blog: http://dtanlog.blogspot.com/

Once again, thanks for the exposure.
