Speaking as the son of an Irish mom, the best soda bread in Brooklyn can be found at Mona Lisa Bakery on 13th Avenue. My mom used to bring it to her aunt and cousins in Philly, all of whom were used to the amazing family recipe, but absolutely loved the store-bought (shameful though that might be).

    Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
