Cops are searching for three who robbed a man at knifepoint on Bay 46th Street — just a block from Calvert Vaux Park and Home Depot — in broad daylight.

The 37-year-old victim was standing in front of 210 Bay 46th Street when he was approached by two women and a man who demanded money on Sunday, May 29, at approximately 10:30am, according to police.

When the victim refused, the man grabbed him in a chokehold and held a knife to his body. The two women reached into the victim’s pockets, stealing his wallet, his passport, and about $300 in cash, say cops.

The first suspect is described as a man in his 20s, around 5 feet 6 inches tall, 170 pounds, with a Caesar haircut, and a light complexion.

The second suspect is described as a woman in her 20s, around 5 feet 5 inches tall, 140 pounds, with straight hair and a light complexion. She was last seen wearing a floral mini skirt, blue shirt, light flip flops, and a striped black and white sweater over her shoulders.

The third suspect is also female, in her 20s, about 5 feet 5 inches tall, 140 pounds, with straight hair and a light complexion. She wearing a white t-shirt under a dark colored short-sleeve cardigan, gray shorts, black shoes, and carrying a light colored purse.

Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website at or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577. All calls are strictly confidential.

there’s a typo in the first sentence. it’s clear a woman was robbed but you’re referring to a man being robbed.

A man was robbed. Police initially said she was female but then sent a correction. We must have missed a pronoun when we updated the post. Thanks for catching that!
