What: One of our editors will be throwing out the first pitch when the home team faces off against the Valley Cats! It’s also Seinfeld night and there will be a special appearance by John O’Hurely, who played J. Peterman on the show. After the game, there will be fireworks.

Nathan’s Annual Hot Dog Eating Championship
When: Monday, July 4, 10am
Where: Nathan’s Famous, 1310 Surf Avenue (at Stillwell Avenue)
What: Join thousands at the Nathan’s Famous flagship restaurant in Coney Island for the annual Fourth of July hot dog eating championship, where last year’s winner Matt Stonie will try to hold is title against other glutonous competitors — including world record holder Joey Chestnut.
