“If you recognize the dangerous situations that exist in the world, then Hillary Clinton is not an option,” Hikind says in the video. “We need change.”
When reached by phone today, Hikind stated that he also had strong reservations about Clinton’s main opponent, Republican candidate Donald Trump. “It’s hard to believe that these are our choices,” he told us.
Like Trump, Hikind has been accused in the past of race baiting.
In 2013, Hikind reportedly donned a black-face costume for a marathon 14-hour Purim party held inside his home. The Assemblyman later defended the costume — saying he was dressed as a basketball player.
Is Hikind prepared to endorse Trump? Hikind said it was a possibility but not definite, and would make his decision after the first presidential debate.
“I don’t know about Trump — I’m not sure,” Hikind told us today. “[But] I’m prepared to do it [endorse Trump] when you put the candidates on a scale,” he said, when asked which candidate posed a greater risk to the country.
But a vote for Clinton is out of the question. In his video, Hikind claims that there is not one area in which she has been successful as U.S. Secretary of State.
“It’s not just that [Clinton] supported the Iran Deal, but she takes great pride in being the architect,” Hikind states. “She wants all of the credit in the world for this disastrous deal that supports Iran and its terrorist activities.”
“If you look at the situation with Gaddafi in Libya, that was a failure,” Hikind continues. “If you look at the situation in Syria, you’re going to reset the button with the leader of Syria. Hillary called him a reformer! Now there are 400,000 civilians dead.”
Hikind also describes Clinton as “the official ‘yeller’ at [Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin] Netanyahu.”
Hikind concludes, “Clinton getting elected as President of the United States also guarantees a radical leftist court, not an equally balanced one. That’s not what I want for my family, my community or for the American people. Hilary has been a failure. If you want another four years of the Obama administration, then your choice is a simple one.”
