Somehow Thanksgiving snuck up on us (where’d the summer go? It was August just yesterday, it feels like…) and with that holiday of giving comes the holiday of spending: Black Friday.
Or, for those lucky enough to be in Coney Island next Friday, during capitalism’s virtual birthday, it will be the holiday of free deliciousness, cause Grimaldi’s is giving away pies.
“It only comes around once a year,” hypes Grimaldi’s Black Friday Facebook event page description.
According to the page, Grimaldi’s Coney Island customers will receive one free large margarita pizza per table all day long. The offer can’t be combined with any other offers, pizza toppings aren’t included, and the offer is dine in only.
While Grimaldi’s doesn’t exactly offer the best pizza in Brooklyn (even if they are Zagat rated, it’s hard to compete with the likes of L&B Spumoni Gardens, Lenny’s and other southern Brooklyn joints that aren’t chains and have been in the neighborhood long before Grimaldi’s opened their Coney location just a few years ago) it’s a dang good deal that seems genuinely no strings attached. We’ll see you there.
(The Coney Grimaldi’s is located directly across from Luna Park, at 1215 Surf Avenue.)
