Here at Bensonhurst Bean, we’ve been in a sentimental mood lately.

Your humble blogger figured, what better way to wrap up the week than with a video of a classic performance from right here on the streets of Bensonhurst?

With so many of Brooklyn’s old record shops, like Zig Zag on Avenue U, closing down, it’s very heartening to know that a place like Rhythm Records still exists.

The above video, posted on YouTube by wtesoro, captures the divine sounds of Lisa and the Lovetones, performing Little Boy & Girl.

Have a great weekend!

Rhythm Records is located at 181 Avenue S, between West 7th Street and West 8th Street. Their phone number is (718) 375-1861

According to the information available on YouTube, Lisa and the Lovetones may be reached for gigs at (973) 873-1489

[UPDATE] 3:45 p.m.

As an encore, here’s another video taken that day we also enjoyed very much!
