Police are searching for two suspects wanted for grand larceny after stealing a woman’s purse in Kensington and using the stolen credit card in Bath Beach stores in late September.

The first suspect smashed the window of a parked car in front of 935 McDonald Avenue, between Avenue F and 18th Avenue, on Monday, September 26 at 7pm, according to police reports. He then stole a purse that was on the car’s seat and fled northbound on McDonald Avenue, in a vehicle described as a beige Honda Odyssey.

An hour later, the suspects used the stolen credit and debit cards to buy about $100 worth of merchandise at a Shell Station at 2001 Cropsey Avenue in Bath Beach. They struck again about half an hour later at a Toys-R-Us located at 8973 Bay Parkway, this time spending about $500 on the card.

This case has been classified as Grand Larceny, meaning theft of property exceeding a certain value (usually more than $1,000).

The first suspect is described as a 30- to 40-year-old man (race not included in the report). He was last seen wearing a dark colored baseball cap, a blue sweater and dark colored pants. The second suspect is described as a white female, 30- to 40-years-old. She was last seen wearing a white sweater. The vehicle they were driving is described as a beige or gold colored Honda Odyssey.

The NYPD has released a security video showing both suspects:
